5:30pm to 6:30pm: In conversation with Peter Crouch
Join us for an intimate conversation with one of Britain’s favourite footballers, Peter Crouch. Often described as one of the funniest men in English sport, expect a candid conversation that will explore his illustrious career, from world cup appearances to record breaking goals. Guests will gain a unique insight into what the life of a premier league footballer is really like and tickets to this event will also include a copy of Crouch’s recently released memoir, How to be a Footballer. Peter will also be signing copies of his book immediately after the talk.
6:30pm to 7:30pm: In conversation with Chuka Umunna
The former shadow business secretary has recently been topic of much conversation around whether a new political party will form in the wake of Brexit. With Tim Lewis, who recently wrote our long profile piece on Umunna, interviewing him for this event, expect a unique opportunity to watch a long-standing MP speak candidly about Brexit, Trump and the state of current affairs from the political inside.
7pm to 8pm: In conversation with Sir Clive Woodward
Get up close and personal with the Rugby World Cup winning former England Head Coach. A renowned speaker, also acting as a pundit for ITV’s coverage for the Six Nations, he has become known for his inspiring and motivating outlook on life, with an impressive career as a sportsman and coach, he uses the lessons learnt from these experiences and helps audiences apply these skills to everyday life, with practical methods. Sir Clive will be interviewed by sports presenter Mark Durden-Smith.
8.30pm to 9.30pm: Exclusive Performance from Tom Odell
Join us for an exclusive performance with the multi award-winning musician Tom Odell. This will be a unique opportunity to see one of the UK’s favourite singer-songwriters in an intimate venue, playing a selection of tracks from his upcoming album Jubilee Road. There will also be the opportunity for guests to ask Tom their questions in our Q&A session that will follow the performance. Odell has cemented himself as a household name with his debut album Long Way Down going platinum and winning both the BRIT’s critic’s choice and the prestigious Ivor Novello Songwriter of the Year awards.
8.30pm to 10pm: Autumn Internationals Dinner with England Rugby legend Simon Shaw MBE and friends
From South Africa to New Zealand, the world’s best teams line up to compete head to head in this year’s Autumn Internationals. In celebration (and appreciation!), this year M Restaurants and Esquire have teamed up to invite you to a spectacular dinner hosted by the legendary former England player Simon Shaw MBE and some of his equally gregarious friends.
You will be feasting on an inspired menu that takes you on a culinary journey through the home nations produced by Sunday Brunch & MasterChef Star and Executive Head Chef Of M Restaurants, Mike Reid. If the excellent company and incredible menu weren’t enough for you then you will be glad to hear that in addition, each of the four courses will be paired with outstanding wines that both complement and enhance the dishes. If you are a rugby fan or not, we assure you, this is not one to miss.
4pm – 5pm: In Conversation with Christian Louboutin
There are few fashion staples as iconic as a red-soled Christian Louboutin shoe. We are honoured to host a live in-conversation with the designer himself who will be interviewed by Esquire’s editor-in-chief, Alex Bilmes. At Esquire Townhouse you will have the chance to hear the Parisian designer talk candidly about his esteemed career, a rare opportunity to see one of fashion’s most influential creatives in an intimate setting.
6:30pm – 7:30pm: Make the perfect Martini with Salvatore Calabrese
Discover the art of Martini making with The Donovan Bar and Salvatore Calabrese, who has made his world-renowned ‘My Martini’ for everyone from film stars, to presidents and royalty.
‘The Maestro’ himself will teach you how to make the perfect Martini, super cool and super dry, plus variations of the classic including Ian Fleming’s Vesper Martini and Salvatore’s Breakfast Martini.
8:30pm – 10:00pm: Foraging Supper Club with Native
Native founders Ivan Tisdell-Downs and Imogen Davis host a foraging focused supper club brining their passion for wild produce and seasonal cooking to Esquire Townhouse. Having spent time in the kitchens at River Cottage in Devon and the renowned Blue Hill Farm in New York, Ivan’s cooking is influenced by the innovative cooking with natural, foraged and seasonal produce, while Imogen, a hunter-gatherer at heart, spent weekends foraging in the Northamptonshire countryside.

From 9am until noon on Saturday, 13 October, Esquire Townhouse is turning into the ultimate fitness destination with a bespoke programme of classes, challenges, expert consultations and nutrition planning curated by Esquire’s health and wellbeing editor Tom Macklin. Discover the latest fitness trends via our ticketed schedule of new classes hosted by leading trainers from Equinox, Third Space, Barry’s Bootcamp, Heartcore, Blok and F45.
Book a 15-minute consultation in The Esquire Clinic with some of the most sought after experts in the capital. Learn how to prevent injury with Third Space’s Luke Worthington, a qualified postural restoration expert; nutritionist Sarah Ann Macklin will give advice on how to improve your health from the outside in; and elite PT Andy Vincent will be offering gait and mobility assessments.
Drop into the Esquire Kitchen and enjoy a post-workout protein bar snack from Pulsin, or visit CoYo’s breakfast bar. A shake bar will be provided by Neat Nutrition and Vita Coco water.
Ticketholders are also invited to take advantage of the pop-up Skinwork station offering a range of its signature treatments including LED light therapy and microdermabrasion. We’ll also supply refreshing Rehydrating Mist Hydrosol sprays from The Lost Explorer.

Join a Barry’s master trainer for a signature Barry’s Bootcamp class (the first of two sessions on offer). Their innovative approach works to ‘shock’ the body in the most effective way, to improve the cardiovascular system, accelerate weight loss and to build that all-important muscle. 11:00am – 11:45am: MVP workout with F45

Adored by athletes and celebrities around the world, F45 Training is bringing its signature MVP workout to Esquire House. You can expect 45 minutes of high intensity interval circuits around 30 stations that will put your strength, core stability and cardiovascular endurance under the brightest of spotlights. It’s a test of strength and, even more, a test of willpower.
11:00am – 11:45am: BLOKflex
BLOKflex is a hybrid class that focuses on the integrated body improving flexibility to maximise strength. To maintain a large range of motion, stretching plays a vital part in optimising a healthy body and is often something that is overlooked. It’s also vital that muscles are properly warm in order to optimize stretching time, which is why we split this class 50/50. The first half will be a high intensity, high impact workout and then once your muscles are fully warm, second half we take it down to the floor for a deep static stretch.
3:30pm – 4:30pm: Wine Tasting from Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester
However much some of us think we know about wine, the reality is probably a little more sketchy. Which is why this informative and entertaining masterclass from one of London’s top sommeliers is a must for anyone wanting to understand the basic principles of tasting and drinking wine. Ruben Desport, Head Sommelier for Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, will cover the topics of serving, tasting and navigating a wine list.
11:00am to 2:30pm: Esquire Townhouse Closing Brunch
